Module 1 (02 Sessions): Introduction to Computer-Aided Sketching
- Review of 2D Sketching: Parametric solid modeling, assembly creation, and product rendering
- Limits, Fits, and Tolerances: Fundamental tolerances, deviations, methods of placing limit dimensions, geometrical tolerances on drawings
- Basics of Geometrical Dimensioning and Tolerances (GD&T): Key principles, machining symbols, and industry standards
- Fusion 360 User Interface: Exploring navigation, display settings, creating projects, 2D sketches, and modifying solid 3D bodies
Module 2 (02 Sessions): Features, Threads, and Fasteners
- Drafting: Creating draft during a feature and as a feature
- Thread Forms: ISO Metric, BSW, Square & Acme, American Standard Thread
- Fasteners: Hexagonal and square-headed bolts and nuts with washers, keys, and coil feature
Module 3 (04 Sessions): Component Creation and Assembly
- Creating Components: Using scripts for gears, component color cycling, and McMaster-Carr parts
- Assembly: Joints like cotter and knuckle joints, couplings like flanged and universal couplings
Module 4 (06 Sessions): Assembly Drawings
- Drawing Basics: Exploding 3D models, adding dimensions, GD&T text, BOM, and tables
- Exploded Views: Editing title blocks and exporting in different formats
- Examples:
- Lifting Device (Screw Jack)
- Bearings (Plumber Block)
- Machine Tool Components (Machine Vice)
- Valves (Ram’s Bottom Safety Valve)
- IC Engine Components (Piston or Connecting Rod)
